I examined the associated factors for women seeking in-state and out-of-state abortions. I found that women are increasingly likely to leave their home state in favor of getting an abortion in Georgia. South Carolina had the highest rates of immigration into Georgia for this reason, both in 2009 and 2015. Number of abortion providers, number of CPCs, and a state's political ideology are all significant predictors when predicting a state's in-state to out-of-state abortion rates. As women continue to leave their home states due to more restrictive abortion bans and laws, it would be wise of surrounding states with looser legislation to supplement their own resources to better accommodate incoming women. I used Powerpoint automatic caption generator, so I hope that helps!
