In this animation, Russell Library intern Sarah
Northrop charts the kudzu invasion. An imported vine brought to the U.S. to
control erosion and enhance gardens and landscapes, efforts to rein in kudzu
have largely failed. This invasive species remains a common sight across the
South. The story of kudzu is part of the Russell Library exhibit, At War
with Nature: The Battle to Control Pests in Georgia's Forests, Fields and Front
Yards.
