Dr. Robert Shewfelt spent his time at UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences as a preeminent scholar focusing on consumer and producer views on quality of fruits and vegetables. Along the way, he earned many accolades, including being named a Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor, the University of Georgia’s highest honor for excellence in instruction.
Research and accolades aside, Dr. Shewfelt’s 31-year career in the UGA Food Science and Technology Department may be best remembered for his Freshmen Odyssey course, Chocolate Science.
As a special treat for CAES alumni and friends, Dr. Shewfelt will be sharing Chocolate Science for the first time in seven years.
