Welcome to our International Scholar Spotlight Series!
In this episode, Denish Khetan, graduate assistant for Immigration Services, had the pleasure of interviewing international scholar, Muhammad Farooq. Muhammad is a Ph.D. research scholar (Literature in English) from Pakistan. His doctoral dissertation focuses on migration literature (representation of migrants' identity) in South Asian fiction in English. He is glad to share that interestingly, his thesis deals with migrants' experiences out of the home. Apart from being a Ph.D. research scholar at UGA, Muhammad serves as a lecturer in English at The University of Haripur, Kp, Pakistan. Muhammad shares that the profession of teaching is his passion and he has dreams of becoming a creative writer in the future.
