This webinar panel
featuring Durrell Washington (Ph.D
student University of Chicago and Editorial board member Abolitionist Perspectives in Social
work), the Donald Hollowell Distinguished Professor, Dr. Llewellyn Cornelius,
and Joy Green (SSW Phd. Student) focused on the trends in Abolitionist Social
Work Practice, including the intersections between
working with incarcerated individuals and persons in the child welfare system.
We will also discussed how the concept of
Abolitionist Social Work practice can be used to support the self and community
empowerment of underserved populations.
