In this animation, Russell Library intern Sarah Northrop brings southern farmers’ battle to control the boll weevil to life! This pest devastated cotton crops throughout the South during much of the twentieth century. The story of the boll weevil is part of the Russell Library exhibit, At War with Nature: The Battle to Control Pests in Georgia's Forests, Fields and Front Yards.
